Ski jumping “FIS Cup” cel mai mare eveniment sportiv din Rasnov, Brasov

Between 18 and 20 January, Valea Cărbunarii sports ground in Râşnov, is hosting the ski jumping “FIS Cup”, considered to be the largest event in the history of the city. At the competition in Râşnov will take part ski jumping national teams from 10 countries: Austria, Russia, Poland, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, for the first time, China. This competition also records a national premiere: first official international competition on a K90 trampoline, the largest in Romania. It will be a competition attended by more than 45 sportsmen and 20 sportswomen, a real rehearsal for the forthcoming European Youth Olympic Festival. “We are facing a test competition before EYOWF. It is an inspection at its highest level, because the International Ski Federation claims are as large as those of the International Olympic Committee. Above all, it will be a celebration for our city”, said Adrian Veştea, Mayor of Râşnov. Puiu Gaspar, general secretary of FRSB: “It is not easy for the International Ski Federation to join its name with a city. However Râşnov deserves it, because here we have a world-class sports base. Through the participation of the ten national groups, FIS Cup already stands out in the international federation’s calendar. “ Our country will be represented at the competition by a group of 10 athletes, led by Dana Haralambos. “FIS Cup” schedule: Friday, January 18: 9.00 – Official training HS 71; 13.00 – Official training HS 100 Saturday, January 19: 10.00 – Competition HS 71; 14.00 – Competition HS 100 Sunday, January 20: 10.00 – Competition HS 71; 14.00 – Competition HS 100 General secretary of FRSB also noted that Râşnov will host the 2014 World Cup ski jumping for girls, at which will attend the best athletes that will come at the Olympic Games in Râşnov
